Independent Occupational Therapists must have professional indemnity insurance and should be registered with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). It is advisable for the therapist to also become a member of a specialist section of the RCOT.
What are the costs and how long does the assessment and treatment process take?
Our fees are comparable to those charged by other independent Occupational Therapy providers. For detailed pricing information, please contact us.
The number of treatment sessions required varies based on a range of factors including our client’s identified problems and the involvement of other multidisciplinary team professionals. Following an initial assessment, we can provide a more accurate estimate of the number of sessions needed.
The nature of assessments can vary depending on our client’s requirements. Generally, a 2-hour initial assessment session is sufficient to identify key difficulties and goals. We can provide assessment reports, and the costs for these reports will depend on the level of detail required.
Additional assessments may be recommended to provide more in-depth information, such as standardised and/or practical assessments.
The number of recommended treatment sessions is based on the results of the assessment process and will be agreed upon before any treatment commences.
